Hearthquarters is where our family plans the week.
We built this for our own kitchen. You pick six dinners and one flex night for the week, it turns that into a shopping list sorted the way the store is laid out, and the checklist syncs between both of your phones while you're standing in the aisles, so you don't end up with two bags of the same thing.
What's inside
Plan the week
Pick six dinners and one flex night, and the app remembers what's for breakfast and lunch too, so you're not deciding that again every morning. A Tonight card on the hub tells you exactly what to cook without digging through the whole plan.
A meal bank with photos
Fifty dinners are already in there from years of actually cooking them, and you can add your own with a photo, the ingredient list, and how you make it. Search it by name or by what's sitting in the freezer.
Shopping that matches the store
The list builds itself from the week's plan in four passes, so nothing gets missed and nothing gets duplicated. In the store, both phones show the same checklist and update each other as things get checked off.
A Sunday prep list
Before the week starts, the app tells you what to defrost, batch cook, or portion out ahead of time, based on what's actually on the plan that week.
Feeding plans for the little ones
Set up what each kid eats and how many feedings a day, log what they've tried and how it went, and see it laid out right alongside the rest of the week.
To-dos everyone can see
Household chores and tasks live in one shared list instead of three different group chats. When nobody wants to pick, Task Roulette spins and picks for you.
One calendar for the family
Kids' activities, dinner plans, and anything else going on that week sit on one board, so the whole family's schedule is in one place instead of scattered across everyone's own calendar.
What this isn't
This isn't a macro tracker. We're not logging calories or grams here, because that's not the part of dinner that wears a family out.
There's no streak to keep and nothing to lose if you skip a week or order pizza on a Tuesday.
There's no guilt built into any of it. Picking the flex night for takeout every single week is a completely normal way to use this app.
